I have to chuckle for a moment. I'm sitting here going over some of my most wonderful moments as a mom, and while going over the past several years, I'm remembering a question I was asked by a gentleman upon hearing I was pregnant, "What about your career? What are you going to do about your career?"
Well, I guess the answer is… I'm still singing and performing and writing and starting a new business and everything else! And now have a little boy who has come along with me...sometimes. As I told an audience recently, having a little one has opened up a brand new world of dreams and fears and emotions which encourages me to grow as a person, as a mother, and ultimately as a performer.
So, I suppose having a child was a wonderful addition to my career as I will be learning and growing throughout this entire journey. And if that is something I can share in my many different professions (hats I wear), then I am a lucky lady and mama!
